Who We Are
A group of professionals who play a central role in expanding our overseas business.
TOHO Global was established in July 2023 as a spin-off of Toho's International Department, and is the core organization for our overseas business. Starting with just a dozen people in 2017, the International Department has expanded to over 100 people, including our overseas subsidiaries, over the past few years. We are committed to communicating the core value and message of Toho's intellectual property (IP), and under strong corporate governance, we are promoting fan-centered business expansion with flexible ideas and a sense of speed in a locally-led organization.

Overseas distribution of movies and anime
- We distribute film, anime, and other video content to overseas markets, reaching audiences around the world.
- We particularly develop content that is highly popular overseas, such as anime and Japanese live-action films.
- We submit content to international film festivals, and exhibit and participate in events and conventions.

Marketing and licensing business for overseas markets
- Draft an overseas expansion strategy for works through promotion, marketing, branding, etc.
- Formulate brand strategies for video works/IP overseas, and plan and execute marketing initiatives.
- Promote licensing business for product development overseas.
